Wisconsin conservation leader George Meyer passed away on December 10th in his home in Madison. Early this spring, we will gather for a Celebration of Life to honor George with stories, laughter, and perhaps a few tears. This event will reflect the legacy he left behind and the work he cared for most deeply.
The celebration will also serve as a fundraiser for the Wisconsin Wildlife Federation, the organization that meant so much to George. Funds raised through this GoFundMe will first help cover the costs of organizing the event. All remaining proceeds—along with any contributions made during the celebration—will be donated directly to the Wisconsin Wildlife Federation.
Guests can expect photos, memories, and special tributes to George, as well as prizes and other opportunities to support the Federation. We are also gratefully accepting item donations as prizes for those who prefer to give in that way.
Nothing would make Dad more proud than seeing the continued growth of the organization he dedicated so much of his love and time to. The Wisconsin Conservation Leadership Corps, was of special importance to him.
Date and venue details will be announced soon.
Thank you for helping us celebrate George and for contributing to the legacy he worked so tirelessly to build.
-Jocelyn Meyer
