Sanjweru Mission Trip

I am a retired Salvation Army Officer living in New Castle County, Delaware. In August of this year I will be joining a mission team sponsored by the Touching Lives Ministry of Chester, Pennsylvania. We will be traveling to the village of Sanjweru, Kenya to conduct a two week Christian-based medical boot camp, along with Bible studies and Christian education opportunities. Touching Lives has an on-going presence in the village, and God has enabled them to accomplish wonderful things, both medically and spiritually. I am not part of the medical team, but I will be conducting Bible studies for the women of the village, and helping with the many hands on jobs that need to be done to support the medical personnel. The funds I raise will be used to help to pay my expenses for the flight and support the work I will be doing.  Although I have spent 46 years in active ministry, I have never had the opportunity to be part of a mission trip. I am incredibly excited for this chance to roll up my sleeves, share my relationship with God, and share some of the resources with which we are so blessed in this country with those who do not have so much at their fingertips. I am incredibly grateful for any assistance I receive for this mission project.
