Amanda's Palestine Rotation Fund
My name is Amanda Jaber and I am a pharmacy student at the University of Pittsburgh. I will be beginning my series of 7 health and pharmacy related "Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience" rotations this May. I hope to go abroad for one of them! As the daughter of Palestinian immigrants, much of my family is still in the Middle East, and I recently lost my grandfather at the age of 67 to diabetes. It is my goal to set up a rotation abroad to help counsel and educate Palestinian patients at a clinic in Ramallah so that they may have a better chance to fight their diseases than my grandfather did. The only block in my way is getting myself there, and I am asking for your help! My rotation will be for 5 weeks and I will be working on the occupied side of the Palestinian-Israeli border. There is water only 3-4 days per week, and the clinic sees about 100 patients a day, none of whom have insurance. I am asking for anything that you can give to help me make the impact that I have been planning for for months! Please message me if you have any questions or would like more details. Thank you!
