I am Colleen, and along with my sister, Nora, we are organizing this GoFundMe page to help Nancy and Bill with their extraordinary medical bills that resulted from the medical services provided to Bill over the last several years.

Bill and Nancy were married for 26 years. Bill was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2018, underwent chemotherapy and radiation treatments, and went into remission. In early 2024, he faced Acute Myeloid Leukemia and a new lung cancer growth. Despite various treatments, regular visits to Hyde Park University of Chicago Medicine, many, many hospitalizations, and blood and platelet transfusions at Hyde Park, the cancer spread to his liver. By June 9th, it was clear that Bill’s body could no longer cope with the treatments. Bill began receiving hospice care on June 13th and lost his battle with cancer on June 15th.
