Thank you for taking the time to read our story of a great man who cared so much about football but not so much the game but the kids who came across his field and he coached. Our dearest Anthony Benavides president and head coach to the South Central Cougars was taken from us so soon. Anthony was an inspirational man, a man who’s heart was for the children of the south side. Anthony was joyful, respectful, loyal, he had a heart of gold. His dedication and direction has put fire in our souls. He has inspired us to do the best to reach our goals. Anthonys lessons will be remembered long after the game is won. For the lessons you have taught us have only just begun. Anthony was a man of commitment, perseverance and hope. And as we go though life we’ll be better to cope with all struggles. Because we had you for a coach, a brother, a father, and son he was one of the best we all come to know .  His financial  situation was never the best but he made the best of it and today we come to you all to reach into your hearts in this time of need to help his family lay him to rest.
