Since August 2022, our dear friend Mike Botello AKA Swello has endured unimaginable challenges—suffering nine strokes that have left him unable to walk or talk. As if that wasn’t enough, he experienced abuse from a roommate during this vulnerable time, and little was done to protect him. Despite his strength and determination, the lack of proper intervention and support has taken a toll on his recovery.

Today, Swello faces even greater obstacles. His insurance has stopped covering his rehabilitation, and due to time lapses in receiving care, he’s now unable to access critical therapies through traditional channels. His arms have become constricted and non-functional, further limiting his independence and quality of life.

It’s just Swello and his loving mother, who is doing everything she can—but her resources are stretched thin. They’re fighting this battle alone, and now, we’re asking for your help to give them hope.
