Hello, My name is Briaunna Thornton and I am a part of the study abroad program at my local college. I am a current Nursing student and would like to learn about as many countries as possible. In May of 2017, I had the opportunity to travel to 4 cities in China. Shanghai, Beijing, Tian, and Ningbo. The experience was amazing and it changed my life for the greater. I loved every moment of it. Well, I've been accepted to travel once again. In June 2018, I, as well as 11 other students will be taking a trip to Durban, South Africa for a college credit learning experience. We will visit where some of the world’s influential leaders—like Gandhi and John Langalibelele Dube—started powerful movements for social change!
I and the other students have been working hard to raise funds for the trip which will cost a total of $2900 per person. Fortunately, I earned a 900 dollar scholarship, but still need to raise $2000.
