My name is Willow I am 15 years old, and I live in the Cockeysville area. I am in the 9th grade and have not been to school in over a month. When I was 6 years old I was diagnosed with SLE Lupus, with nephritis. I went in for routine blood work and learned that my kidneys had failed. This is why I am presently on hemodialysis, 3 days a week at the JHH. I also do once a week infusions for my lupus also at JHH. I am at the hospital for a total of 4 days a week. I am always tired and in pain Daily. I live with my grandmother who has to take me to and from my appointments. I also have to go to children a's national in DC to see my rheumatologist for treatment of my Lupus. My grandmother has not been able to go to work on a regular schedule because of our situation, she has only been able to work for about 20 hours per week. Currently, our car needs a new engine so that we can go to our appointments. I would like my grandmother to have a reliable car so that we able to go to and from appointments safely. I would also like to have a cellphone for emergencies, finally, I would like to have a service dog because I also have high blood pressure and take over 10 different medications have affected my overall daily functions.
