Hello,

My name is Lexi and I’m reaching out because my dad Rafa desperately needs our help. As many of you know he is truly one of the greatest dads ever. He is the kind of man who would literally give you the shirt off his back. He’s a tireless worker who is always the first to step up for anyone in need. He has spent his entire life putting others first especially his family and friends.

Tragically everything changed on December 3rd. While on his way to work in the snow he was involved in a horrific car accident. His vehicle flipped and was completely totaled. He suffered a broken back and is now facing a painful and long road to recovery.

Here is the brutal reality: The medical bills rehabilitation costs and the need to replace his totaled car are going to amount to well over $60,000. The financial burden is overwhelming and I’m trying to ease it by starting this fundraiser.

If it weren't for his generous heart he might not have survived. He had kindly picked up his coworker that morning. After the crash with his back being broken, his coworker was able to pull him out right away. They then both had to crawl up a 45-foot deep ditch in the snow desperate to flag someone down. I also keep thinking about how my dad’s simple act of kindness helping his coworker ultimately saved his life.

My dad has always been incredibly stubborn about asking for help but with his car gone and unable to earn a living during this extensive recovery we have no choice but to turn to our community for support.

We are starting this GoFundMe to help cover the immediate and urgent costs: the massive medical bills , physical therapy and lost wages while he heals and a replacement vehicle so he can get his life back.
