Hello everyone,

My name is Lexi, and I'm reaching out on behalf of my incredible dad, Rafa. If you know Rafa, you know he's the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back, literally. He's a hardworking guy who's always the first to jump in and help anyone in need, whether it's fixing something around his house, spending hours fixing my car or just being there with a listening ear for advice or there for a laugh. Our family, his friends, and his community in Mexico mean everything to him, and he's spent his life putting others first. Always.

Tragically, on December 3rd, he was involved in a severe car accident in the snow on the way to work changed everything. His vehicle flipped and was completely totaled, and he suffered a broken back that has left him in immense pain and is facing a difficult road to recovery. If it weren't for his coworker (who he had kindly picked up to take to work that morning) he might have been trapped upside down with no immediate help. That act of kindness from my dad saved his own life in a way, as his coworker was able to call for emergency assistance right away.

My dads has always been so stubborn about asking for help that he didn't even want to tell us at first because he hates worrying his us and loved ones. But now, with the loss of his car (which he needs for work and daily life), and time off from his job during recovery, we're turning to our community for support. The financial burden is overwhelming and i’m trying anything I can to ease that.

We're starting this GoFundMe to help cover:

- Potential Medical expenses and rehabilitation costs

- A replacement vehicle so he can get back on his feet

- Lost wages while he heals and regains his strength
