Cole Jansen can be called many things:
Son, Brother, Uncle, Brother-in-law, Friend, Co-worker, neighbor, but above all Father.
Cole was raised in Blue Earth and Elmore with four loving parents Erv and Kim, and Cindy and Marty. He has grew up along side his brother, and best friend Luke and loving sisters Tammi and Tara. Through out the years Cole has enjoyed the outdoors from hunting, fishing, camping and more. Always having a good time and making memories. Spending time with his family, friends, and kids, his greatest treasure is being a father raising his five beautiful young children Callen (11), Ayla (10), Bayleigh (6), Fynley (3), and Fallyn (1). He sure is proud of them, you can see it everytime he looks at them and has a huge smile on his face.
On April 10th Cole's life changed and a huge way he was found unresponsive at work from a seizure and was rushed to Fairmont hospital, then Mankato. They found a mass on his brain. He was sedated and on a ventilator so they could give him medications to prevent more seizures and given steroids to decrease the swelling on his brain. The next step is to try to wake him up and keep him stable. After a couple days doctors tried to wake him and were unable to. He was air lifted to Rochester with all family and friends were emotional not knowing his fate. Doctors were able to wake Cole and get him off the ventilator and get the seizures stabilized after a few days he came home. There were many smiling people that day. Cole was growing stronger after returning home, then the devastating news came; stage four inoperable brain cancer. His prognosis without treatment a few months, with treatment 1-2 years. Cole decided to fight for more time he has chosen to get radiation which is 5 days a week for 6 weeks in Albert Lea. Cole and his family are making the most of their time together. They need our encouragement and support in this journey my goal is to try to support Cole and his family during this difficult time. From medical bills, to everyday essentials and what ever else they may need. Make a donation in the fight and support for Cole Jansen.
