In March 2019 Ma took a tumble resulting in multiple fractures of her vertebrae. After a stint in the hospital, she was sent to a skilled nursing facility for rehab. After 7 weeks, the insurance company decided Ma had had enough of rehab and cut off funding - but she was nowhere near ready. We kept her in the facility out of pocket for another week and then brought her home with a full time (24/7) home health aide that cost us $200 a day. We also had to rent a hospital bed for $400 a month. And the bathroom had to be renovated in order to accommodate Ma. Ma’s limited assets were exhausted before she even went into rehab and her monthly income isn’t nearly sufficient to cover her expenses. Right now her credit is maxed out and we’re struggling to meet her needs. Her medical care is seemingly never-ending and unpredictable. If you can contribute to help with current and continuing medical funds it would be much appreciated.
