On October 5, 2015, Deputy Chief Eric F. Espeut Jr. of the Fire Department of the city of New York passed unexpectedly after battling a two week infection that developed into full organ failure. He dedicated his life to serving and protecting not only our city as one of the original founding members of NYC's Emergency Medical Service, but also as a loving and devoted husband, father, neighbor, and friend.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Marilyn, and his children, Patrick, Ryan, Chaunté, Peter, and Petrice. Throughout his life he touched all that came in contact with him, leaving a poignant impact on each of their lives in one way or another. He will undoubtedly be missed by many as he was loved by all.
Due to his untimely death and increasingly surmounting medical issues throughout the years prior to his death, his life insurance funds are no longer being allocated to the family for funeral costs. Every dollar of the fund will go to helping the family with the overwhelming cost of the funeral. Every little bit helps, and please keep him in your thoughts as we will all see him again! Thank you.
