Please Help Jim Mandelin Fight Cancer!!

Jim has been diagnosed with stage 4 prostate Cancer and we want to raise money to help him pay for his immunotherapy. Immunotherapy is not covered by MSP in Canada and costs a lot of money, each individual treatment is in the thousands of dollars.  Immunotherapy can either help the immune system attack the cancer directly or stimulate the immune system in a more general way and is considered as a more effective alternative to chemo and radiotherapy as it works with your natural systems to fight the cancer.

Jim is our friend and neighbour and is no stranger to personal struggle. He has fought his whole life and suffered through abuse, alcoholism, addiction, homelessness, poverty, crime, gang life and surviving after hitting rock bottom and nearly dying. Jim turned his life around and in addition to being a supportive father and friend he has taken this life experience and provided guidance and support for hundreds of thousands of children across the country through his talks and workshops and to help them realize there is a way out.

This severe cancer comes as a shock to all of us as Jim is a pillar of health through his meditation, diet and positive attitude and support he provides all of us.
