In Memory Of Shakira Shabazz

Today marks a rather sad day. Here on this day, we recognize and mourn the life and passing of Roc Shabazz's mother, Ms. Shakira Shabazz last night. Born on September 19, 1943, Ms. Shabazz lived a full life where she not only exhibited tremendous strength, love and success at raising three young men (Rashid, Wali and Yasin) on her own, but she also was  grandmother to loving grandchildren and greatgrandchildren whom she adored and loved with all her heart. She left us suddenly last night due to heart failure. Ms. Shabazz had an unbelievable spirit and energy and she lived her 72 years better than many will live their entire lifetime. She was truly one of a kind and her legacy will live on in the people she loved and those that loved her. Funds raised from this campaign will pay for her funeral expenses and the remaining amounts will go to the greatgrandchildren she leaves behind...
