Paying tribute to Robert (Bobby) Taylor

Donation protected
We are deeply saddened by the news today of a devastating loss amongst our own work family. Robert (Bobby) Taylor, survived by his loving wife Patricia Taylor, has passed away suddenly, joining his twin brother in Heaven. He is also survived by daughter Brittaney Taylor and son Robert Taylor.

We truly wish to ensure Bobby receives the memorial he deserves, hence we are currently asking for donations to assist this family during an incredibly difficult time. Donations will go directly to his wife, fellow NPC family member/associate, Patricia Taylor to help with end of life costs and future expenses.

Robert Clarence Taylor II was the oldest of four children born to Robert and Beverly Taylor on February 26, 1965 in Detroit Michigan.

Robert (Bobby) accepted Christ at the age of five when he was baptized at Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church in Hamtramck, Michigan. Bobby attended Northern High School in Detroit. He played Defensive End for the football team and later graduated from Henry Ford High School.

After graduating from high school, he worked as a Driver at Action Data in Dearborn, Michigan. There, he met and married the love of his life, Patricia (Pat) Dennard, whom he playfully called "Chickie". After leaving Action Data, he worked as a Water Main Technician for the City of Detroit Water Department for 16 years before semi-retiring, moving to Texas, and becoming self-employed.

Anyone who knew Bobby knows that he was all about his wife, parents, children, siblings, and extended family. He loved outdoor barbecues and just sitting around with family - joking, teasing everyone, and laughing. He loved life, enjoyed movies, delighted in sci-fi, and appreciated all kinds of music, including funk, rock, and classic soul.

Most of all, he was an avid football fan and, although he was from Detroit, was a Dallas Cowboys fan all his life. He was smart and inquisitive about everything. Most of all, he was a big brother and father to everyone that he met. He was a gentle, laid back soul that lived life one day at a time and touched everyone who crossed his path.

Bobby was preceded in death by his uncle, William Woods, and loving brother, William Taylor (Dannielle). Those left to cherish precious memories and continue his legacy inlcude his loving wife of 33 years, Patricia Taylor; his children: Tarria Thomas, Briesha Taylor, Breaune Taylor (Cameron), Brittaney Taylor, and Robert Taylor III; his parents, Beverly J. Taylor and Robert C. Taylor, Sr. (Gwendolyn); his siblings: Ronald Taylor (Madison) and Robin Ray (Scott); his granddaughter who lovingly called him "Grandpa Bobby Blackstone", Asiah Williams; his nieces and nephews: Gwendolyn, Malcom, Marcellus (Anayha), and Skyler; aunts: Patricia Irvin (godmother) and Carolyn Johnson; his dear cousins who were more like siblings: Spencer Cunningham (Felicia), Patria Westbrook, Kimberly Cook (Charles), Dorie Pride (Kamau), Janice Riley, and Yvonne Hill-Wallace (Gary); as well as a host of other cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
