Thanks to everyone who’s contributed! You blew us away! Our initial goal was to cover chemo costs, and there are lots more ways to help them, so we are upping the goal to cover other unexpected costs for Miles. The Jacobsens have a heart to help other families like theirs and want to contribute to organizations who made an impact on them, with the hope of making a difference for families facing huge medical journeys. A month after turning 9, Miles was experiencing problems with his vision. An optometrist appointment turned into an ER visit which discovered a brain tumor. Hours later, he underwent neurosurgery at Children’s Mercy Hospital in KC. Biopsy results revealed he has an inoperable astrocytoma (pLGG).

Miles is going through treatment at Children’s Mercy and will likely do so until October 2025.

Miles is an incredible kid and has shown remarkable bravery and strength throughout these last two months.
