Maggie the Cat... Her story from Abandonment to Rescue

Donation protected
My name is Elizabeth Ginn and I have written a book about a young cat who was abandoned in the country...in a rural environment.
This happens a lot, everywhere. Little Maggie was only 6 months old and she had always lived inside. She did not know how to survive. She was lost, confused and waited by the side of the road for 2 days for her people to return. They never did. Hungry, scared and cold, she sought shelter. There were other cats in the barn on a farm that she found. One of the male cats protected her and brought her food. The story progresses to where Maggie becomes pregnant and has Kittens. There are other Moms and Kittens and none of them have enough food. The book is illustrated by Leona Cochrane who has Progressive MS. Leona is 54 years old and finished her BFA at the University of Lethbridge in 1995. I love the freshness of Leona's work and asked her to illustrate the book.

I am the Author and have been battling Stage 4 Terminal Cancer for 8 years diagnosed. Metastisized Renal Cell Carcinoma to the severity of having my right kidney removed due to a 10.5cm tumor encapsulating it. It is believed that I had been living with mRCC for at least 5 years before diagnosis.

**500 copies are being printed of the book Maggie the Cat. The book will be sold to raise funds for several Volunteer run animal rescues in Alberta that work hard to rescue in their respective Communities. There are several individuals in Southern Alberta who rescue cats that some rescues cannot take, in Coalhurst, Coaldale, Lethbridge and Taber.
500 copies will cost $6250 to set up and print at Elite Lithography in Edmonton.
This Go Fund Me is to raise funds for printing. The book will sell for $25, raising over $6000 to share with several rescues.
Leona's paintings will also be sold to raise more funds. She has done 66 paintings to sell for $200 each. If framed in IKEA frames that are $65 each, there is another potential for $13 000 in revenue, to cover framing costs of $4 000, leaving $9 000 to be distributed to rescues. The total amount raised could generate a total of $15 000 to cover neuters/spays and vaccines for 200 Cats and Kittens.

"No raffles, sweepstakes, giveaways, or return on investment are offered in exchange for any donations made to this GoFundMe."

Leona and I have given a lot of our time to working on this project, in spite of our terminal illnesses. We do not have the funds to pay for such an undertaking.
Support from people who care about homeless and abandoned innocent cats will see the success of this project. Thank you for your support.
