Life can change in a heartbeat

Donation protected
I am not one to typically reach out and ask for help but right now our family needs it.

On November 30, my brother had a massive heart attack, one that most would typically not survive but fortunately he did. My brother collapsed at a hockey game in port perry and he was lucky enough to have first responders start thorough compressions right away. They worked on him for 30 minutes before he was brought to the hospital and eventually transferred to lakeridge health for a more comprehensive workup. We have been informed by the cardiologist that he is going to need a defibrillator and will be unable to work or drive for the next six months. This has created an immense financial strain for his family, especially with the holidays.
My brother has always worked hard to provide for his family , that being said, my sisters and I would like to help him now in anyway we can. With his inability to work and the added pressure of the holiday season, a financial burden is something that we would like to relieve them of. Shelley is doing her best to hold everything together, but they need support more than ever.

Anything you can contribute will go directly to helping with medical bills, daily living expenses, and recovery costs during the next several months. This will also help the family get through the holidays, a time that should be filled with joy, not worry.

James has always been there for others, quite often forgetting about himself...now it’s our turn to be there for him .Your generosity will make a huge difference in giving my brother's family the support they need to get through the tough days ahead."

Any amount small or large or even a quick share is very much appreciated and will go directly to Shelley

Update
I can't thank all of you enough whether it was a share or donation made. My brother is doing better but still has a long road ahead. The doctors were able to extubate my brother the following day because he was responding physically. He had an ICD (internal defibrillator)placed this morning and because of this there are many restrictions in place. His body needs the rest. Taking the worry of money from him will relieve him of some stress going forward. Your donations mean so much. We are forever grateful.

Dear Family and Friends,
We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for the incredible support and love you have shown us during this time. Your prayers, thoughts, and generous gestures have brought immense comfort to our family.

In moments like these, we truly appreciate how fortunate we are to have such caring and compassionate family and friends. Each message, prayer, and act of kindness has made a significant difference in our lives.

While we know the road ahead will be long, we are deeply thankful for your presence and support during our time of need.

With sincere appreciation,

James, Shelley, and Family

I am going to amend the amount because I know my brother is going to need it. For transparency, the medications he has been put on cost between 1000 to 1200 a month and without the ability to drive or work and not being able to make the money he was able to beforehand, I'd like him to have one less thing to worry about.
