Just after Owen turned 1 month old we rushed him to the hospital because he was breathing hard. He stayed in the ICU at children’s for almost a week before we found out he had a genetic heart defect called a VSD. It is a completely fixable heart condition but it is going to require open heart surgery to fix. We hoped we could push him to a year old before surgery but he is getting sicker and weaker and we found out that it had to be done this week. (A little over 5 months old) Thanks to all the friends and family that have been here for us through all this. Help with any out of pocket medical expenses would be a blessing for us.
