Paying It Forward For A Friend
In The Summer Of 2015 I Had The Pleasure Of Meeting A Young Bria Sabella, An Aspiring Singer. I Asked Her If She Would Like To Sing At Our Relay For Life Event At Sonoma High School Field. Without Hesitation, She Agreed. She Sang Her Heart Out That Day And Helped Us Raise Almost Ten Thousand Dollars For The Event.
So Here We Are In 2020 And 21 Year Old Bria Has Been Diagnosed With Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She Has Six Months of Chemotherapy Ahead Of Her And She Has Lost Her Hair. Due To The Cancer And The Covid Virus Pandemic, She Cannot Work. She Was A Teacher At A Day Care Center. The Cancer And Covid Virus Have Also Halted Her Education; She Is A Senior At The California Jazz Conservatory at Berkeley. Because Of The Covid, She Must Receive The Chemotherapy By Herself. No One To Keep Her Company And Give Her Support. It’s A Long Process To Go Through Physically And Emotionally. Yet Young Bria Fights On, Now Strapped With Medical Expenses And Personal Bills That Her Insurance Does Not Cover.
So I Am Asking You My Friends If You Could Chip In And Give Bria A Hand. I Know These Are Tough Times. Whatever You Can Afford Will Be Appreciated.
Thanks From Rod, Bria And Her Friends.
