Our teammates range from ages 7 to 17. Youth members build skills and community by learning about, and caring for, every horse on the property. Adult volunteers provide guidance and supervise. More program details are on our website, http://foxfireeventing.com.
Our wonderful home, located at Hay Day Ranch in Maidens, VA, has been put on the market due to personal circumstances within the owner’s family. We have until March 8, 2018 to try to secure that home for ourselves.
The size and location are perfect for us and our programs. There is so much potential for diversification and inclusivity as Foxfire grows. Our horses are thriving there, including several elderly and one blind horse! Most of all, we, the members of Foxfire, and it’s adult volunteers, have put love and sweat into this home, excited to put more, hoping to be here for many years to come.
Please help us secure our place in this community so that we can continue to serve youth, animals, and the wider equestrian community through volunteerism and the rest of our mission.
Our hope is to secure this farm for Foxfire for its future. Any funds raised will go directly toward the costs of doing that. In the event our perfect property sells before we are able to secure it for Foxfire, funds raised will go toward a Plan B permanent home for the Foxfire humans, horses, and mission. We thank you for your support, and we hope to greet you with thank-you materials, including our 501(c)(3) donation benefit information.
