If you know Liam or I personally, you know that we recently took in a new dog who we named Kilo and came to love and adore very quickly. Kilo has already become a vital part of our family in less than two weeks. However, we have run into some major medical issues already. On Friday he was taken to the vet for a check up and was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection and placed on antibiotics.

Saturday took a turn for the worst when Kilo started spewing blood from his privates all over the floor. We rushed him to the ER as we were very concerned for his well-being. Waiting for what felt like an eternity while the worst things came to mind. The doctor finally came in and told us that Kilo is suffering from a urethral prolapse and at only 8 months old, he will absolutely need surgery to fix this or else things could become much worse. We were quoted at 4-5k+ from the ER doctor but said the surgeon will have a better idea of just how much it will cost on Monday during the surgery consultation.

As Liam is currently in school full time and working part time our financial situation is not in the position to handle this horrible situation. We really are not the type of people to ask for anybody’s help as we are the type to figure things out ourselves but, this seems to be out of our reach currently.
