Coco Was Shot--Needs Surgery

TLDR: Cat got shot twice. Need a heckin surgery. So expensive. Help, plz. He a good boi.

UPDATE-- Coco's surgery plan has gotten more complicated and expensive. His broken leg is displaced. Hoping to get the bullet for ballistics. Filing a report with Alhambra police today.

UPDATE 2-- Coco has headed in for either surgery or whatever they can manage. He'll need to stay in the hospital for a few days to recover. The price went up again. Please pray for my buddy.

UPDATE 3-- Coco's surgery has gone VERY well! We've also received a partial refund because it wasn't as invasive as they had feared. Thus, I've adjusted the goal.

Hi. My name is Anja, and I'm going to tell you about my kitty cat, Coco.

Up until last year, Coco was a bit of a stray. He popped up on our door step along with his bestie, Marvin. Together, they wooed us into feeding them, loving them, and welcoming them into our home as best we can--we are renters who aren't supposed to have pets.

This evening, I brought Coco into the vet's office. He came home tonight limping and woozy. We didn't know what was wrong. He was fine at dinner time. We thought maybe he jumped off too high a building or got in a cat fight.

No. Somebody shot Coco. I don't know what cruel, disgusting person did it, but that's where we're at these days. It was thankfully just a BB gun, but the bullet broke his back leg. He's in a lot of pain and needs surgery.

EDIT: We just found out he was shot twice. The second shot barely missed his liver. Doc says he should be able to recover. He's a pretty strong boy. We're lucky.

He's stable for now, but I'm a disabled veteran. I'm ashamed to admit it, but I'm struggling to stay afloat. This expense threatens to sink my ship, but I won't let Coco suffer. I'll go down with the ship if I have to. He's worth it.

Please, if you can help, Coco is just a 2 year old. He's my sweetheart. He's so loving, silly, and just a spirited little guy. We love him so much. Any help would be appreciated.
