Fire Victims From Neptune Ave

On Friday night a friend of mine and his family were forced out of the home they have owned for as long as I can remember. The fire grew extremely fast and if it weren’t for Ruben Cordero things could have been a lot worse. Ruben knew the family wouldn’t be able to get out the front door so thinking quickly he jumped out of the third floor of the home. His friend who was visiting led his mom out onto the ledge where Ruben yelled for her to jump. When she jumped Ruben was there to catch his mother, Ruben broke his leg making sure his mother was got out okay. While the three were able to get out without being burned his father was not as lucky. His father attempted to battle with the flames and was burned before he was able to get to safety. In the blaze the family lost everything they owned, five dogs and two birds were killed in the fire. The Red Cross is assisting the family at this time, but they lost everything and I want to try to help them at this difficult time, anything and everything helps and is greatly appreciated.
