Funeral costs & expenses for Janice

Janice is an essential member of our very tight-knit family. Anyone who knows Janice knows about her compassion and love for others. She is a sister, daughter, aunt, and over-all second mom to her many nieces and nephews. She is a loving middle school teacher wo has touched many lives in our community. She is filled with pride and love any time former students come back to see her and tell her how much they learned and relied on her teaching and guidance. If she taught your child, you would know that she loved and cared for all of her students. Unfortunately, right now Janice needs your help! On February 8th, Janice was admitted to the hospital with extreme body swelling and pain. She had previously been admitted to the hospital, but was soon released and sent home with medication. Before Janice was admitted, she was disoriented, in pain, and was unable to take medication due to extremely low blood pressure. She was then transported to Tulane Hospital in New Orleans, which is 5 hours away from home. The family has been told that her internal organs have shut down due to sepsis and that she is critical. Janice is fighting for her life! Our parents are both older and diabetic. They are having to spend day after day at Tulane Hospital at great financial costs. They dare not leave her during this critical time. The family members are also trying to spend as much time with her as possible, but everyone has families and jobs. The cost for housing at Tulane is $50.00 per day, or $1,500 per month. This amount does not cover the cost of food, laundry, gas, or any other incidentals needed on a daily basis. Please help us if you can. The entire family has been put through much emotional turmoil. Janice has suffered greatly through all of this. We would like to thank everyone who is praying for her and the family. The family had been told repeatedly that Janice would not make it, but she is continuing to fight and is doing better. She still has a long way to go, but with your prayers and donations, her recovery will be much easier both on her and our parents.
