On February 17, at 2 AM, we woke up to a fire that was spreading from a house next door into our apartment. Everyone was safe and survived the fire, but we lost everything we had. My sister and I both attend college in NYC and lived close to our schools. As a result of the fire, we are now displaced and temporarily staying with our parents. The commute to school from our parents’ house is about a 2.5 hour commute and very expensive. We are asking for help to start over again while we are still attending school.
