The Chavez Family

On Sunday, October 23rd 2022, my mom was on her way to work when she called me at 6am stating that she didn’t feel good and couldn’t move her left side. She wanted me and my brother to go pick her up from work. She described what seemed like a stroke, my brother urged her to call an ambulance, so she did. She was admitted to the ER after having suffered a stroke and has been transferred to another hospital while she became stable. She spent 3 long days at the hospital and is getting moved to a rehab center meanwhile she tries to regain some of her strength and mobility back. My mom was used to working as much as she could and was always keeping busy or doing something. Even if she was tired or sick she would work to make sure that we had what we needed. My mom being the person she is would never ask for help or take help from anyone, but in these trying times and with this unforeseen situation, we are asking for help to try to cover the mortgage and bills. Anything at all would help, and would be greatly appreciated. My mom is the sole provider for me and my 3 siblings. 2 of us work, 1 of us is in college, but it’s not enough to cover these unexpected costs in such a short time. We are trying to get back to work as soon as possible, but we also want to be able to watch over our mom while she recovers so she’s not alone. We never expected anything like this to happen, so our funds are limited. Anything would help, we would appreciate any support and would appreciate prayers for her recovery. Thank you.

El Domingo, 23 de Octubre 2022, mi mama iba al trabajo cuando me llamo a las 6 de la mañana que no se sentía bien y que no podía mover su lado izquierdo. Quería que yo y mi hermano fuéramos a recogerla del trabajo. Los síntomas que describió sonaba como si fuera un stroke, mi hermano le pidió que llamara in ambulancia mientras llegábamos, y lo hizo. La llevaron de emergencias porque si sufrió un stroke y luego fue trasladada a un hospital donde se quedó 3 días hasta que decidieron moverla a un centro de rehabilitación para que pueda recuperar un poco de su fuerza y movilidad. Mi mama siempre quería trabajar lo más que podía o siempre trataba de hacer algo y no se quedaba quieta por mucho. Aunque estuviera cansada o enferma ella quería trabajar para que no nos faltaría nada. Siendo la persona que es, mi mamá jamás preguntaría por ayuda ni tomaría la ayuda de alguien, pero en estos momentos difíciles, nosotros estamos pidiendo ayuda para tratar de cubrir el pago de la casa y otros pagos. Lo que sea es agradecido, y sin duda nos ayudaría. Mi mamá es la proveedora de la casa para yo y mis 3 hermanos, 2 de nosotros trabajamos, y una va al colegio, pero con eso todavía no nos alcanza para cubrir estos pagos inesperados en tan poco tiempo. Estamos tratando de regresar al trabajo lo más pronto posible, pero también no queremos dejarla sola mientras se recupera. Nunca pensamos que algo así sucedería, entonces nuestros fondos son limitados. Cualquier cantidad nos ayudaría y sería agradecido, aunque no sea dinero, también agradecemos oraciones para la recuperación de nuestra mamá. Muchas gracias.
