Katie Harris survived an aggressive form of breast cancer (and all that that entails) last year. Tragically, it returned with a  vengeance in her liver.  She passed away on February 5, 2020. Katie's whole life was centered around her adored son, Rhys.  Rhys has been robbed of his devoted mother and friend. He is starting a new life with very little financial means at this time. Rhys faces unique challenges due to his special needs as well as losing his North Star mother so suddenly. Many of Katie's friends and family members have asked how to best honor Katie's life and we feel the best way is by supporting Rhys, as he was the one who gave Katie's  life meaning, purpose and joy. Katie had just achieved a second degree; a BS in Anthropological Sciences with Distinction  from Radford University in Virginia and was excited about the possibilities in her future. Her degree arrived in the mail the day she died.  This remarkable and generous woman donated her body to the university of Texas. She did not want a funeral or memorial. Her thoughts were never about herself  but only about her son. Rhys will be the sole recipient of donations.
