Lauren Carter Organ Transplant

This is my amazing, strong, intelligent sister Lauren Carter. Since childhood, she has struggled greatly with Type 1 Diabetes and later on in life also end stage renal disease. Although she struggled to maintain her overall health on a daily basis, she continued to pursue her degree in Pshychology while also remaining a strong daughter and sister. As the years continued to progress, unfortunately, so did her health issues, in which she eventually required 13 hours of dialysis a day and placed on a dual transplant list just to survive. After three years of struggling on dialysis, our prayers were finally answered, and she was blessed with a brand new kidney and pancreas on January 31, 2018 with all of us by her side. While she is recovering at full potential, she is currently unable to work, in which the procedure itself was more than 1 million dollars and many of her anti-rejection medications are upwards of $1,000. Insurance has been a blessing within itself, however; there is still quite a hefty financial burden, in which absolutely anything would be greatly appreciated during her time of healing. Lauren has always been so giving and so considerate of everyone else's needs, even before her own, and I would just like to see her be able to heal and enjoy this gift from God without having to stress about finances, so please help me in making this a reality.
