In Lieu of Flowers - Greg Martin
Donation protected
On February 28th, 2020, at the age of 58, Gregory Martin graduated into eternity.
Greg was a devoted Pop who loved all of his 7 grandchildren so well. He adventured with them, poured his wisdom into them, taught, supported, and loved them as intentionally as he did with all the people that were "his". One of his grandbabies, Elise, was born with Down Syndrome, and the two of them were often found walking together in the garden, dancing in the living room, or having a tea party together. Elise loved her Pop and her Pop loved her.
A reality of Elise's Down Syndrome diagnosis is that she will always be dependent on her family financially, emotionally, and physically. As his body began to fail, one of the things that Greg grieved was that he would not be around to financially help with her care, in the ways that he most certainly would have done if his life had been longer. He always took care of his family at every turn.
In that heart, he made it known in his last days, that in lieu of flowers, he would like donations to be made to seed a special needs trust for Elise to be used in adulthood. This page will serve as a holding place for all funds donated to this need until the proper entity has been established.
Funds raised on behalf of Elise will be held by her father, Tucker Martin.
