"Help from my friends" Supporting Matt Dingledine

Hi, my name is Don Westcott, and I (along with Jessica Elliott and Shannon Hoover) are fund raising for our good friend and teacher Matt Dingledine. Matt was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in early September 2023. It's Stage IV, which means it's spread to local lymph nodes and to another organ (in this case, the liver). Matt started feeling discomfort around October 2022, but because he was otherwise so generally healthy, he had to establish care with a PCP first, then a referral to a gastroenterologist that couldn't schedule a colonoscopy until the end of August. On Friday September 29th, Matt had his first round of treatment.

We are fund raising to help offset the loss of income and medical bills (high deductibles) that have already occurred and will continue as Matt does his treatments. As many of you know, Matt is a musician and a music teacher, and he has touched many lives in the Upstate and we hope to give back to Matt and his family as they go through these unknown times!
