India Mission Trip

Hello friends. :)
This has been an absoultey crazy year for me in terms of maturity and spiritual growth. I have gone through many trials and tribulations and God has brought me through all of them. Four and a half years ago, I experienced my first mission trip to Joplin, Missouri through the church that changed my life forever, Parkview Christian Church. On this trip, God opened my eyes to who He truly is and to the plan that He had for my life. After experiencing his glory that week, I continued to thirst for Him and the satisfaction He brought my life. I grew up believing in a condemning God, who would possibly allow me to experience an eternal life in heaven by good works and going to church on Sunday. I learned that this was far from the truth and the God I served that week in 2012 is a God full of grace and love; not because of who I am, but because of who He is I am saved. I no longer have to live a life of shame and doubt, but a life full of peace and love because of Him. He has placed the desire in my heart to serve His people and to pour into them what He continues to pour into me today. There is nothing I want more than to be able to share who He truly is, not the false idea that He doesn't accept those who are far away. After my first mission trip, I then knew that I wanted to serve in this way for the rest of my life and that I wanted to eventually serve outside the U.S. God led me to Grand Canyon University, a private Christian College to only grow my desire for Him and to expand His Kingdom on earth. The person I was before I knew Jesus would not have picked a Christian College, that is for sure. But God chooses the foolish things of the world to transform it. God has known the desire I have for missions and has been preparing me the last several years for an oppurtunity I recieved a few weeks ago. Me and my 8 team members (Chase, Caleb, Mary, Marissa, Denielle, Dani and Maggie) have been accepted to travel across the world to Imphal, India, to serve God and the beautiful people that call it their home. On this trip my team and I will be working with Hands Giving Hope, where we will have the oppurtunity to work with orphans plauged by malnutrition, as well as help the area through food outreaches, evangelism, VBS programs, talent searches and more. This trip will be from May 1-22nd. God calls us out of much, to bring us into much, and I am completely overwhelmed and humbled that He has allowed me to be a vessel to make His Kingdom known. I am reaching out to you because you have been apart of my life and who I have become in some way or another and I would love to be able to share this experience with all of you. This trip will cost $3,500 and the first deposit of $400 is due December 7th. I understand if you cannot donate at this time, but I would greatly appreciate prayer and support from you. This will be a life changing experience for me and I will need all the prayer I can get! :)
I believe that we are the change we wish to see in the world, and I encourage all of you to believe that fully. No matter who you are and what you have been through, God can and will use you if ou allow him.
Thank you for taking the time to read my letter, and I hope that whether you can donate or not, that you believe that YOU are never too young or old to make a difference.
