Hi, I’m Jorja.
6 weeks ago I rescued 4 kittens. Their mother had two litters back to back at just 18 months old. She was VERY underweight and was struggling to look after the kittens. Eventually she abandoned them completely and attempted to attack (and eat) them. She orphaned the kittens and I took over (bottle feeding, bathing, litter training etc).

The runt of the litter (we called her little black) was significantly smaller than the others. Estimated to be half the expected size for her age. She has become unwell- her weight is so low for her age that she can no longer support herself and has grown too cold. This has led to her needing treatment at an emergency vet. We have struggled to keep fleas away due to her being too young and small to receive treatments- we bathed regularly to keep them away best as possible however the fleas she has had have sucked too much blood causing anaemia.
So far the bill for the vets is £118 for emergency admission. They have not charged us for drugs etc yet as she is so little she cannot even tolerate the typical recommended amount for her age. For a 24 hour stay (to increase her chances from 50/50), we must pay £292. I can only pay so much of this especially with Christmas coming up.

This kitten hasn’t had a great start to life. Beginning with a traumatic birth she has never known ease. She has known love, we would like this to continue. Please; anything at all will help pay for her treatment to save her life. If this is not possible and she unfortunately needs to be euthanised, any kind and generous donations will be used for the euthanisation and the bill we already have to pay.

Would also like to add, if she gets better after the 24 hours but isn’t well enough to come home, it is a further £200 per 24 hours- this is looking like she may need 2-3 maybe more nights to fully recover enough to safely come home. This means the bill could rack up to a whopping £800+. We would not be posting and asking for attention to the post and for donations if we didn’t need it. She is at medivet 24 hours Chorley. If anybody would like to call to check on little black or ask for confirmation/make direct deposit donations to little black to avoid the fee on go fund me. Thank you all, again

thank you for reading and taking time to read about little black.
