I wanted to start off by saying that after years of my sister and I attempting to locate our younger brother, this was in no way the way we hoped to find him. He was diagnosed with congestive heart failure that was terminal back in April and was told he had no more than 6 months to live. We asked several doctors for multiple opinions and tried many times to get him to be eligible for surgery, but his heart and brain (after suffering a stroke) were not strong enough for surgery.
In June, we got him into an LTC facility and we got him a team of hospice care members to help with his final days of life and to make them as painless as possible. On Tuesday, June 4th at 3 am, his heart gave its final beat and he is no longer in pain.
We tried to get him into a program that was offering free cremation; however, when we found out that they would use whatever parts of his body and give back the remainder, we decided to cancel that and give him a proper service and keep his ashes together.
During this process, we were able to get in touch with our other younger brother, Vincent, who is helping us with paying these arrangements. I am asking if anyone can help with any little bit you can help with, thank you. My brother did not have anything in place for his final expenses.
