Hi, my name is Kris, and I would like to ask for your consideration in helping me with a problem that I created. Let me begin with a little back ground.
Two years ago I went to the doctor for a routine exam, and I was informed that I had a bad heart valve. I had open heart surgery for repair to my mitral valve, and fought to get through that situation. At that point I felt that I had dodged a big bullet, 41, two kids still growing, and a lot more life to live. I felt lucky, I knew I would not mess with my health, regarding avoiding the doctor, ever again. I have done well, no issues, routine check ups, everything has been good.
Two weeks ago, I came down with flu like symptoms. I was up all night praying to the porcelin god, and eventually became so dehydrated that I passed out falling and hitting my head on my night stand. The sound woke my wife, and she could not get me up so she called 911. The paramedics came and transported me to the hospital. After a few test's, it was discovered that I have a glioblastoma brain tumor.
I am currently seeking multiple opinions, and advice as to the best course of action mooving forward. I have confidence that I can onece again overcome, and win another battle.
My only concern brings me to this campaign. I have a loving wife, and two excellent boys that are my life. After the heart sugeory, I told myself that I needed to get some life insurance, but always just relied on the stuff provided through my employment. Well I don't have that any more, and made no efforts to fix it. Now it is almost impossible to try a get a simple $350,000 term policy. I do not want to leave my wife and boys with burden, house, college, and other life costs, that I could have had taken care of. I am not asking charity, in fact I feel guilty just typing this. What I am asking for is $1.00. I would love nothing more than to say thank you to 350,000 people. I just don't want my screw up to just move on down the line to my family.
If I can give one peice of advice, it is DON'T WAIT until you are not healthy to get just a simple life insurance policy. You won't be able to afford it!
Thanks for reading, and your consideration,
Kris
