My cousin Kendelle recently discovered that she has a brain tumor. Less than a week after receiving this news, she had an emergency shunt placement surgery in order to alleviate pressure and in hopes to relieve her symptoms.

Kendelle immediately had to go off work and her partner, Gary, had to take a layoff from his job in Labrador in order to care for her and their two year old son.

They will both be off work for the foreseeable future as Kendelle will be having a second surgery in the new year. This surgery will be a major surgery to hopefully remove so much of the tumor and will be followed by radiation treatments.

Kendelle is a young, hard-working mom. She is kind, caring and adventurous and spends every moment aside from work with her little boy.

She is my younger cousin and has always been like a sister to me. She is eager to donate when someone is in need and spends time volunteering at homeless shelters and Ronald McDonald House. She is a giver at heart and she deserves our support right now.
