Helping Heidi kick cancer's butt

Heidi, Dave, Cooper and Arianna need our help with kicking cancer's butt. The shocking news of being diagnosed with breast cancer already feels insurmountable and then the medical bills start rolling in and things become even more dire. After a routine mammogram indicated worrisome calcifications in Heidi’s right breast, further testing and biopsies yielded a diagnosis of Breast Cancer on 12/11/17. She had a double mastectomy on 1/23/18. The final pathology results for the lymph nodes in both breasts were negative! This is great news! There are, however, a few other details that make next steps regarding chemotherapy a little less clear. Heidi and Dave continue to wait for more direction as the treatment team reviews Heidi’s case. They know for sure that she will need to take Herceptin for a year and Tamoxifen for 5-10 years. In addition to reconstruction surgery, Heidi is also hoping to access complementary naturopathic and holistic supports to maximize her potential for healing but these will have significant financial realities.
