Help the working horses in Egypt

My name is Eric Cleary I am an Equine Dentist based in the uk. I have volunteered to spend two weeks out in Egypt working with “Egypt Equine Aid”, an Australian registered charity who provide free veterinary treatment and rehab for Egyptian working horses and donkeys.
I am funding my own visit, but the clinic are in desperate need of good quality Equine dental tools in order for the local vets to carry on this work. In particular they would like to be able to carry out more extensive work which requires the use of electricaly driven equipment. This kit costs £2-3000 to set up.
I have therefore set up this page in the hope of raising enough money to buy them the equipment they require.
We have a target of £5000 should we be lucky enough to exceed this all monies will go to Egypt Equine Aid to help them to continue to provide this wonderful service.

For any one wondering why a horse needs a dentist please read on:
Horses have molars that have an angled surface in order to help them break up their food when chewing.
This surface is constantly being worn down by their chewing at the same time the tooth is pulled up by tendons to replace the wear.
Due to the angle on the teeth this wear results in sharp points developing on the sides of the teeth. If not removed these result in lacerations and ulcers in the horses mouths.
if left indefinitely it can result in the horse being unable to chew properly resulting in gastric problems in particular colic which is often fatal.
As these working horses often have to survive on very poor diets and meagre rations this work is even more crucial.
All the expenditures will be listed on here together with the receipts and anything left will go to the clinic.
