In Need of a Computer for School

Hi, my name is Amy Lunar and I'm currently a junior in high school and will be attending college in the fall of 2023 for dual enrollment. I will be the first in my family to finish high school and pursue further education. I've always been passionate about art, music, and architecture but don't have the tools, technology-wise, to get further.

I've been lucky enough to have a good laptop (MacBook Pro) for most of high school but it's been in use for 10 years and has finally given out. Unfortunately, my mom doesn't make enough money and we barely get by, so there is little opportunity to save up. The little money I'm able to make from my part-time job I put forward for the costs at home, and my mom doesn't want to risk my grades slipping from working too much.

I am a first-generation child so opportunities are hard to come by because of my lack of financial stability. Despite that, I'm always looking for ways to involve myself in my community, and various programs to continue my education. I would greatly appreciate any donations to help further my education so I can become an architect and change my life for the better.

Hola, mi nombre es Amy Lunar y actualmente estoy en el tercer año de la escuela secundaria y asistiré a la universidad en el otoño de 2023 para inscripción doble. Seré la primera en mi familia en terminar la escuela secundaria y continuar mis estudios. Siempre me ha apasionado el arte, la música y la arquitectura, pero no tengo las herramientas tecnológicas para llegar más lejos.

He tenido la suerte de tener una buena computadora portátil (MacBook Pro) durante la mayor parte de la escuela secundaria, pero ha estado en uso durante 10 años y finalmente se descompuso. Desafortunadamente, mis mamá no gana suficiente dinero y siempre estamos batallando, y por consecuencia es difícil ahorrar. El poco dinero que gano con mi trabajo de medio tiempo lo aporto para los gastos en casa, y mi mamá no quiere correr el riesgo de que mis notas bajen por trabajar mucho.

Soy una hija de primera generación, y las oportunidades son difíciles de encontrar debido a mi falta de estabilidad financiera. A pesar de eso, siempre estoy buscando formas de involucrarme en mi comunidad y en varios programas para continuar mi educación. Agradecería mucho cualquier donación para ayudarme a continuar mi educación para poder ser una arquitecta y cambiar mi vida para lo mejor.
