545 Trooper Lopez Another Day Another Miracle!!

Trooper Adolfo A. Lopez-Alcedo was assisting with a crash reconstruction on I-485 Charlotte NC. The highway patrol says a passing motorist hit Lopez-Alcedo's patrol car from behind, which then struck Trooper Lopez.
He was transported to a nearby hospital with life threatening injuries. Lopez-Alcedo has been with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol for two years.
Trooper Lopez is much more than a dedicated public servant. More importantly he is a dedicated husband of more than 10 years. An amazing father to 2 children, a strong son and a beautiful daughter. An active and instrumental member of Next Level Church where he is loved, respected and a powerful presence. He is also the leading light to his weekly life group. He has been instrumental in helping his community and is always the first one there to lend a helping hand. You will be hard pressed to find a better friend or brother.
Trooper Lopez and his family have started what will be the hardest fight of their lives. He has suffered significant injuries to his body and brain, the extent of which have not been fully diagnosed. His recovery will take months or even years, will require countless medical appointments and unknown expenses for this amazing family. We know God is at work and will walk him through this journey. We know that everyone wants to help this amazing family. We have started this to assist his wife Jennifer Lopez and his children. This will help reduce burdens as they walk this path of recovery.
My final thoughts. Arturo (what his family and friends call him) is by far one of the most caring, genuine, thoughtful and dedicated people I have ever met. I am proud to call him a brother and his family my family. I am not alone in these thoughts; they are shared by everyone that knows him.
