540A for Wolfie's Legacy & Cardiac Risk in Young(CRY)
Donation protected
Hi, we are group 540A from Rodbaston College in our first year studying L3 Animal Management. We have set up a fundraiser for 2 causes we feel passionately about and have plans to tombola, guess the teddy, cake sale and guess the baby teacher photo to raise funds to help them continue all the great work they do.
Firstly is Wolfie's Legacy. There are so many unhomed dogs in sheltered, and very few owners are willing to take on dogs with additional needs. Inspired by a neglected rescue Wolfie, they have helped over 500 furry friends find their forever homes and supported their families in providing care. In their rehabilitation centre they provide opportunity for trainee vets to learn, alongside companionship volunteering for the local community. As a group of animal lovers who have completed a module recently on animal rehabilitation, this selection made a lot of sense- and we love to help an underdog!
Secondly is Cardiac Risk in Young (CRY). Every week, 12 young people die suddenly from undiagnosed cardiac conditions. They support families dealing with bereavement of the death of a young loved one, alongside raising awareness (which is even being heard in parliament now and with ambassadors like Pixie Lott!) and promoting need for heart screenings (325k of them done so far and 1 in every 100 have found a condition). A student in our class has been impacted directly with this, and we'd love to do our bit to support them and the cause.
Thank you for your support, any donations or sharing of our fundraiser are very appreciated! - 540A class of 2025 :)
