Hope begins with a meal.
Your compassionate support provides food and shelter, prevents the cycle of poverty for children and youth and restore lives broken by addiction.
t’s Giving Day!
Let’s make sure no child walks into school hungry.
$54 = 20 kids fed.
School should be a place of learning—not hunger.
Just $54 provides school lunches to 20 children who would otherwise go without.
Will you consider giving a child in need a nutritious lunch today?
Every morning across Alberta, children are arriving at school without breakfast—and with no lunch packed.
They’re hungry, distracted, and falling behind—not because they don’t want to learn, but because their stomachs are empty.
That’s where you come in.
Just $54 provides school lunches for 20 children who would otherwise go without. Your gift helps them focus, participate, and thrive in the classroom.
Because every child deserves the chance to succeed.
Will you consider giving a child in need a nutritious lunch today?
As a child, Cameron didn’t see his father much — he was constantly in and out of prison. When Cameron became a father as a teenager, he supported them the only way he knew how: by selling drugs. He ended up in a cycle of addiction and crime and just like his father, spent many years behind bars. Cameron wanted to find a way out of addiction, but no treatment centres would accept him because of his violent criminal record. In desperation, he called his sister for help. She told him to go to Hope Mission, which is how Cameron ended up on the doorstep of our men’s shelter: the Herb Jamieson Centre. Through the encouragement of the shelter staff, Cameron joined Breakout, Hope Mission’s recovery program for men. For the first time in Cameron’s life, he had hope for a better future and a support network of people who cared about him. Cameron’s story is one of a life completely transformed and rebuilt from the ground up.
