Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

Today, I am reaching out on behalf of our beloved Marquice Cheon Andrews, a brave 8-year-old who has faced unimaginable challenges due to Joubert syndrome. Born with this rare genetic disorder, Marquice has shown resilience beyond his years. However, recent complications have left him in critical condition, battling constant seizures and severe brain swelling. His struggle has intensified, and our family is facing one of the toughest chapters of our lives.

Marquice is more than a fighter; he is a loving older brother to Mekhi, a bright and energetic boy who is just a few weeks shy of his 4th birthday. The bond between Marquice and Mekhi is pure and unbreakable, a light for our family in these trying times. My sister, a single mother, has devoted every ounce of strength and love to care for her two sons, but Marquice’s escalating needs have brought her, and all of us, to our knees.

As Marquice’s condition worsens, the medical costs, care needs, and unforeseen expenses continue to mount. Our family has been doing all we can to ensure Marquice gets the best care possible, but with each passing day, the challenges grow. His seizures are becoming more frequent, and our family is struggling to keep pace with the demands of his care. My mother and sister pour their hearts into supporting Marquice, but the journey has been daunting, exhausting, and emotionally overwhelming.

Today, we humbly ask for your support to help give Marquice the best fighting chance he deserves. Every donation will go towards Marquice’s medical expenses, therapy, and the specialized care he needs. Your kindness will provide some relief to my sister and mother as they navigate this difficult path and will allow them to focus on giving Marquice the love and comfort he needs.
