My brother Jared and his wife Leah have been trying to have children for a frustrating four plus years. In August 2017, they found out they were expecting twins, Conor and Raegan. Their prayers were finally answered. However, recently they found out that Raegan has a rare congenital heart defect, and will require multiple complex surgeries. These will take place from birth through the first few years of life. Leah’s care has since been transferred to Pittsburgh with a multitude of appointments with regular delivery doctors as well as heart, NICU, and pediatric specialists. These appointments, along with time spent off work being unpaid as Raegan recovers at Children’s, travel back and forth, as well as any other medical costs will be financially difficult for them. Any assistance will be grateful moving forward.
