On Wednesday, March 28th, Colleen and the children came home from work and school only to discover thier house had been broken into and thier beloved dog "Max" floating in the pool where he died. The police came and got fingerprints and did a report that night. The family was heart broken over the loss of their dear Max.

The next day, March 29th, Federico took the day off work to stay home with the children while they grieved the loss of thier pet. Later in the day,  Federico and the children left the house for 30 minutes to run to the bank.  On Colleen's way home from work, she stopped at the bank to pick up the children and take them home but Federico encouraged her to stay till he was finished and they would all return home together.

When they arrived home, Federico and the children went in the house and Abigail (13) went to her room to change so they could go out to eat. All of a sudden, a man came out of the parents bedroom, pointing a gun at Federico and demanding him not to call the police. Instead, Federico screamed for the children to run following them to the garage and screamed at Colleen to run with the  2 children (Caleb-11, Hadassah-10) The intruder pursured them to the door leading into the garage.

Once Federico and Colleen got out with the children, they realized that Abigail was still inside the house. She had seen the man walking in the hallway and closed and locked her door. She then hid in her closet. Federico screamed to a neighbor who was outside to call 911 and let him know the intruder was inside their home. Federico then grabbed his gun from inside his car and fired inside the house. He slowly entered the house and called for Abigail. She ran to him and both of them ran out of the house together. Federico then saw the man jump over the wall to the neighbor's house and fired shots at him through the gate. The police arrived and saw the intruder jump the back wall of their neighbor's house and pursued him on foot. They lost him and then brought in the K9 Unit and the police helecoptors.

As you can imagine, this has been a very traumatic experience for the family. They are currently staying with friends. Your prayers and support at this time are very much appreciated. The Gandara family know that God protected them in a supernatural way and they continue to see many miracles as they walk through this process.

Any funds raised would go towards thier moving expenses, current living expenses, and they of course want to purchase another sweet dog for their children once they are in their new home.

Thank You again for your prayers and support!!!
