Carver Rocha Fam Rebuilds After Fire

Friday, February 2nd was Mama Rosa’s birthday. She came home from work to celebrate with her 3 Honduran-American daughters:

-Gloria, age 11, 6th grader Einstein Middle

-Kathleen, age 16, 10th grader at George Washington Carver High School

-myself, Arlyn (age 18, George Washington Carver Class Of 2017 honor graduate and current freshman at Delgado)

When my mom heard “FIRE” across the apartment complex she quickly evacuated us as the smoke and flames engulfed our apartment. We lost everything except the pajamas we were wearing. We appreciate any contribution you are able to give to help us. Thank you for your collaboration and solidarity during this difficult time.We have calculated one time replacement expenses for: clothing, furniture & kitchen items, as well as monthly expenses for the first 3 months including: rent, food, transportation & communication.
