Help Temitayo Get a Life-Saving Kidney Transplant
My friend, Temitayo (Olanike's husband) is someone who has always faced life’s challenges with strength and hope. In 2019, Temitayo was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease. Through lifestyle changes, strict adherence to medication, and a kidney-friendly diet, he and his family worked tirelessly to keep his health stable. For years, it seemed like things were under control, and we all hoped the worst was behind him.
Unfortunately, in August 2025, Temitayo’s Urea and Creatinine levels began to rise at worrisome rates. Despite ongoing outpatient treatment and consultations with nephrologists in both private and public hospitals, his condition worsened. On December 31st, he experienced severe breathlessness, and by January 5th, with public hospitals on strike and his health declining, his family traveled to Abuja for emergency care at Zenith Medical & Kidney Center. After close monitoring, doctors recommended two dialysis sessions per week, and Temitayo has already undergone six sessions. Now, his medical team has advised that he undergo a kidney transplant to restore his health and quality of life.
All funds raised here will help cover pre-transplant medical care, support for the organ donor, physician costs for the transplant, and post-transplant housing and medical care—including accommodation, follow-up appointments, immunosuppressants, and other medications. Every donation, no matter how small, goes a long way not only to meeting his medical needs, but also towards saving his life and offering hope. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with your friends and networks is just as meaningful.
Thank you for helping Temitayo and his family during this critical time.
