538 is Hitting the Streets – and We Want YOU With Us!

Yo! 538st here! If we've never met, we're an alternative hip-hop band blending soul, funk, and R&B. We just got back from 8 jam-packed days of touring, playing FREE pop-up concerts in parks and beaches around BC. We traveled through the Okanagan, Kootenays, and Shuswap in our mobile stage and studio (aka The Bandwagon!).

Our mission: bringing music to communities that don't often get touring musicians, and let us tell you—we turned those parks into our own little music festivals! All along our route we met incredible people, performed in front of the most scenic backdrops, and camped under the stars each night.

Now, this Saturday, August 23, we're wrapping up the tour in Kelowna. From 1:30 onwards, we'll be bringing the heat to our 538 & Friends stage at Tugboat Bay—right on the beach! So come down with your friends, your swimsuit, and your dancing shoes and help us conclude the grand finale of our tour!

Fuel – We covered over 1000 km across BC in a music trailer. That gas bill ain’t small.

Food – Feeding the crew and bandmates.

Paying the Band – Our musicians have pouring heart and soul into this—we want to make sure they’re taken care of.

Why We’re Doing This:

For the past two years, we’ve hosted 538 & Friends, a sold-out grassroots music festival in Kelowna. Now, we’re building something even bigger for 2026—aiming to bring over 1000+ people together for a full-scale festival.

This summer’s tour has beens our way of bringing the festival to the people—previewing what’s to come, building hype, and creating meaningful connections along the way. It’s about bringing people together in public spaces, celebrating community, and giving folks of all ages a reason to get outside, dance, and connect.
