Hi all

 I recently contracted a bad case of Lyme Disease while coaching out in the US. This unfortunately went undetected for a while, I had felt unwell but it was only when I got bad chest pains that I decided to visit the hospital. Upon reviewing my EKG test, the doctors told me I had a block in my heart rhythm and decided to keep me in overnight, however, the problem got worse and I was transferred to the ICU.  Numerous blood tests and treatments later nothing was working, my condition deteriorated and my heart was unable to cope on its own. It was discovered I had babesia as well as the Lyme. I was fitted with a temporary pacemaker and kept in hospital for 9 days. I am fortunately much better thanks to the wonderful treatment I received from the doctors, nurses and physicians. I am still visiting the hospital every day to receive IV antibiotics, and this will continue for 2 weeks until the Lyme has fully cleared.

As a non US citizen I got travel insurance, however this only covered me for $50,000.00. I never, EVER expected to require more than this coverage, however due to all the x-rays, blood tests, EKG's, heart echo's, ultrasounds, medicines and treatments and consulations, my medical costs have hit $75,000.00. I need to raise $25,000.00 to pay off my expenses. I will hope you can contribute in some way, no matter how big or small, I would be so grateful. The hospital saved me and I feel I more than owe them.
